Mes Amis

Before I start, for those who don’t know french, Mes Amis means ‘My Friends’. This is a series of blogs and will continue as long as I keep getting ideas. Oh this is Ajay writing. This is loosely based on the famous friends series but I haven’t copied an of the stories. If I have, it is out of ignorance. I think I have said all I have to. Happy Reading!

Shiven went home where his mom was waiting for him with hot parathas and spicy masala. Usually it would take his mind off everything else. And it did so today. He ate his fill and enjoyed his dinner. As he lied down on the bed his thoughts went to his friends. What a funny bunch we are, he thought to himself.

There were six of them. Swaroop, Shiven , Raj, Siddharth, Neha and Indhra. Raj and Indhra were a pair and Siddharth and Neha were a pair. Shiven and Swaroop were serious bachelors. Loners, both of them, they were almost never found together. That is before they found Siddharth and Raj. Now, a bit about each of them, Shiven thought.

First myself, he said to himself. They call me intellectual. Hmmm…. Well I guess so since chess is my favorite pastime. Love eating. What else? I am a bit geeky. Never cool. Women who like sensitive men would probably find me attractive. Age:18

Swaroop is extremely friendly. Open and easy going, he could make friends with any one but he uses his talents rarely. God! That guy can twirl every one around his little finger. God knows why he stuck to me. But he doesn’t talk so much. Tough to know what’s going on in his mind. Age:20

Raj next. Raj is a guy with a penchant for pretty things. Surprisingly, girls are not on that list. Probably because he has Indhra. Never got to ask him. He’ll probably kick my butt if I do. Shouldn’t mess with him. That guy is an absolute hunk. Pretty thing penchanter. Age: 19

Hmmm who next? Indhra.. nope boys first. On to Siddharth.

Siddharth can be summed up in one word – unpredictable. The fact that he is still attached to Neha amazes me somewhat. He’s the kind of guy that fits the label ‘crazy and reckless teenager’. But all in all he’s a good guy. Pockets always full and he is the official treat-giver for our group. Age:18

Indhra next. She is so damn systematic. According to Raj she hasn’t been late for a single date and they’ve been dating for about a year. Knowing Raj he is probably late all the time! Even when she dresses there’s not a single chance if her not wearing matching hair bands or some such stuff. Girls call Indhra ‘well dressed’. I call her ‘over dressed’. Age:19

Neha. Probably the best contender for being hot in our group. She is good looking but wears so much make up that it makes you want to puke. I wonder how Siddharth stays near her for so long. And his hands always linger on her shoulders. Guess he uses a bar of soap everyday for washing off that gunk called make up which sticks on his hands! Age:20 Yeah guys Siddharth dates a girl 2 years elder than him!

Hmm… Now what do I think about love? OH HELL WITH IT I’M GONNA SLEEP!
